“Resonant Forest” is an immersive experience that explores how technology can offer a renewed and intimate understanding of the natural world. At the heart of this work lies a forest filled with stone sculptures—silent witnesses of time, shaped by both human hands and the forces of nature, and the protagonist is the Devil in Lativa people’s Folklore. Using 3D scanning and spatial sound recording, we have transported this forest into the digital realm, preserving not just its forms, but its essence—the texture of moss-covered stone, the echo of wind through branches, the quiet presence of stillness. Through projection, spatial audio, and interactive elements, Hiroto Nagashima was invited to wander through a digitally reconstructed landscape where every detail responds to his movement and attention. This is not a simulation, but a transformation.
