In accordance with the official publication of the 4th of October 2018 in the official publisher of the Republic of Latvia the “Latvijas Vēstnesis”, the Saeima has adopted and the President has proclaimed the Pedvale Art Park Law. The law comes into force on 18 October 2018.
The aim of the law is to ensure the preservation, protection and development of the artistic value, cultural heritage, natural landscape and environment of the Pedvale Art Park complexes in a single territory. The law regulates the settlement of the issues related to the use of Pedvale Art Park, in particular for the provision of the creative process, such as maintenance, management, financing, development, as well as the creation and preservation of contemporary art collections in cooperation with state and municipal institutions.
